Turkey-Syria Earthquake: Grieving father grips 15-year old daughter’s hand

Mesut Hancer sitting in the midst of rubbles, can be clearly seen gripping the hand of his child while her crushed body remains trapped under the ruins.

Damaged furniture, shattered glass and twisted steel encircle the area as workers carry out a huge rescue mission in temperatures that are almost freezing.

It has now been confirmed that almost 8,000 people have lost their lives in the unfortunate incident, also some 40,000 others have sustained various kinds of injury following the earthquake which occurred on Monday, as disclosed by Turkey and Syria officials.

More than two days since the earthquake happened, crushing thousands under their homes, survivors are still being pulled from the ruins.

Death toll continues to heighten.
