Some photos have emerged from the visit of Erdogan to the city of Kahramanmaras.
President Erdogan confessed there had been problems with mobilizing resources initially, however, said “things are getting better”.
An aid worker for the Islamic Charity Relief, Salah Aboulgasem, has travelled from the United Kingdom (UK) to Gaziantep, Southeast Turkey, to assist with the humanitarian works.
Aboulgasem who has been to “many war zones, many disaster zones” described the disaster which hit Turkey and Syria as “by all means one of the most devastating I’ve ever seen”.
He further said, “It’s a real race against time.
“[Rescuers] are requesting more body bags, because of the amount of bodies they’re recovering from the rubble.”
