Bukayo Saka, Alex Zinchenko, Emi Martinez’s own goal and Gabriel Martinelli’s late effort proved enough to give the Gunners a crucial three points.
The win returned Mikel Arteta’s side back to the top of the table, and the boss said the manner of the win made the victory even more important.
“Obviously, the result is massive for us, especially after the way it happened,” he said at full-time. “Today we have to take some lessons. The first one in the first half, we did a lot of simple things wrong at an individual level which are right below the standards that are required to play in the Premier League and at the level that we want to play.
