Premier League: Arsenal 1-3 Manchester City – Citizens go top with beautiful away victory

Manchester City have made it back to the top of the table for the first time since November, 2022, after clinching a beautiful win against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday 15 February, 2023.

The Premier League reigning kings increased the pressure in the second half in the most keenly anticipated match of the season as Arsenal suffered for individual errors.

Midfielder Kevin de Bruyne opened scoring for the Citizens in the 24th minute, however, the hosts levelled deservedly in the 42nd minute from the penalty spot through Bukayo Saka.

Bernardo Silva and Erling Braut Haaland set up Jack Grealish for a deflected finish in the 72nd minute, and striker Haaland sealed victory for Pep Guardiola’s side in the 82nd minute.

With this outcome, Manchester City have moved to the top of the table with 51 points, same points as Arsenal who dropped to second, however, the Gunners have a match unplayed.
