De Gea clinched the beautiful feat after Manchester United’s 2-0 victory over Newcastle United in the final of the Carabao Cup 2023 on Sunday 26 February, 2023, at the Wembley Stadium.
The victory handed Dutch Manager Erik Ten Hag his first trophy at Manchester United in his first season as well as, gave the Red Devils their first major trophy in six years.
De Gea made several amazing saves in the encounter against the Magpies.
Uefa Europa League announced the Spaniard’s achievement after the game: “A club-record 181 clean sheets” for David de Gea.
