Man jailed for series of attacks on women in Aberdeen

In Aberdeen, a man who admitted to series of violent attacks on women has bagged a jail term of six years and nine months.

Assaults of Kyle Torliefson on one victim encompassed compressing her throat until she lost consciousness as well as tightening a dog lead round her neck.

Lady Drummond told 32-year old Torliefson, he had subjected his victims to “horrifying and terrifying conduct”.

Torliefson, an erstwhile oil industry worker started the assaults in 2017 and didn’t stop until 2021.

At the High Court in Edinburg, Torliefson was told by the Judge: “You have pled guilty to 15 charges of violence committed against three women.”

One of Torliefson’s assaults resulted to permanent disfigurement of one of his victims.
