For the first time ever, the Portugal Women’s team will feature in the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 will take place in Australia and New Zealand from July 20 to August 20.
32 teams will be slugging it out for the trophy, it is the first time the tournament is featuring this number (32) of teams.
Portugal discomfited Cameroon in the playoff to qualify for the tournament, and will face Netherlands, USA and Vietnam in Group E.
“Congratulations” to Portugal for making it to FIFA Women’s World Cup for the first time, FIFA said.
