Peter Obi, 2023 Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), took his 2023 Presidential Campaign rally to Gombe State where he enjoyed a “warm reception”.

He visited Gombe State alongside his running mate, Dr. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed on Tuesday 31 January, 2023, where he confessed, “the Obidient family were effusive on their solidarity”.
The former Anambra State Governor also visited the historic city of Mubi, alongside Datti, where we called on HRH Alhaji Abubakar Isa Ahmadu, expressing gratitude for the “hospitality”; went ahead to visit HRH Dr Saleh Muhammad, the Emir Of Kaltungo, in Southern Gombe.
Obi wrote: “This afternoon, we made a detour from Adamawa to visit Kaltungo, Gombe South. The Obidient Family there were effusive on their warm reception and solidarity. Salute to all.
“Yesterday, Dr. Datti and I visited the historic city of Mubi where we called on HRH Alhaji Abubakar Isa Ahmadu, the Emir of Mubi. We greatly appreciated his warmth, candour and hospitality.
“Yesterday, Dr. Datti and I, called on HRH Dr Saleh Muhammad, the Emir Of Kaltungo, in Southern Gombe. It was a propitious meeting, as we were briefed on the socio-economic needs of the region and its people.”
