This was made known via a joint press conference in Abuja on Tuesday by Julius Abure, LP National Chairman; Ayu Iyorchia, PDP National Chairman; and Ralph Nwosu, ADC National Chairman.
They alleged that the 2023 Presidential and National Assembly elections held on Saturday were manipulated by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at Polling Units as they failed to upload results electronically on the Commission’s Results Viewing Portal (IReV).
On behalf of LP, PDP and ADC, Abure said “This election is not free and far from being fair, ongoing cancellation of results from areas of strength of the opposition parties.”
They went ahead to declare a vote of no confidence on Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, INEC Chairman and asked him to step aside with immediate effect so that the election can be conducted afresh.
Also, they kicked against the transmission of results manually, saying it compromised the election process.
