The Czech-American had breast cancer in 2010 previously. She will commence treatment later this month in New York City.
66-year old Navratilova said, both cancers had been caught at an early stage.
The 18-time Grand Slam singles champion said, “The double whammy is serious, but fixable, and I’m hoping for a favourable outcome. It’s going to stink for a while, but I’ll fight with all I have got.”
She discovered an enlarged lymph node in her neck during November’s WTA Finals in Fort Worth, Texas.

Subsequently, a biopsy discovered stage one throat cancer.
A lump was discovered as well in her breast during the tests, which was later diagnosed as unrelated cancer.
Mary Greenham, Navratilova’s representative said, “both of these cancers are in their early stages with great outcomes.”
