Barcelona have lifted their first major trophy under Manager Xavi Hernandez. The Catalans did it in style by beating their biggest rival, Real Madrid.

The King Fahd Stadium, venue of the Super Cup final, in Riyadh, was treated to a real spectacle on Sunday 15 January, 2023.
Xavi’s side made light work of Carlo Ancelotti’s side hammering them 3-1 in the encounter.

Gavi opened scoring for the Catalans in the 33rd minute, Robert Lewandowski extended the lead in the 45th minute and Pedri, in the 69th minute, scored the third for Barcelona.
Real Madrid’s consolation came through Karim Benzema in the 3rd minute of additional time.
