Revival: A Ministry of the Holy Spirit
Revival: A Ministry of the Holy Spirit

Text: Read Exodus 8:16-18 – This is about the Lord saying unto Moses to smite the dust of the land for it to become lice all throughout the land of Egypt.

Read Daniel 3:1-30 – This is about King Nebuchadnezzar’s image of gold and Shedrach Meshach and Abednego refusing to “worship the golden image”.

Read Daniel 6:1-28 – This is about the King establishing a decree that “no one shall ask a petition of God or any man” except the King, however, Daniel continued praying to God despite the decree, was thrown into the den of Lions but God saved him.

Acts 5:12-16 says “And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch.  And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them.  And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)  Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.  There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.”

Introduction: The truth is, several areas of human life and endeavour really needs revival. In the areas of marriage, childbearing, business, health etc.

In the church today, spiritual revival is seriously needed for that re-awakening from the position of inactivity, being stagnant, decay or backwardness.

Spiritual revival is needed for general sinners who lack the grace to say no to flesh. By finding their way back to the presence of the King of Kings by repenting of their sins and renouncing them, they become revived.

The Holy Spirit comes in, stays and functions in the lives of believers for revival to happen.
