Newcastle United are close to signing Anthony Gordon from Everton after both clubs agreed a deal that could be worth £45m eventually.

After being absent this week, Gordon returned to training at Everton’s Finch Farm Headquarters on Friday.
It looks sure now the formalities of 21-year old Gordon’s move to Newcastle United will be completed well before transfer deadline on Tuesday.
It is understood that the initial fee was £40m, rising to £45m plus add-ons.
