It was commissioned by President Muhammadu Buhari alongside Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday 24 January, 2023.
According to the Lagos State Government: “The John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History will stand out as the first cultural centre of its kind in Lagos.”
