Carlo Ancelotti’s side found the equalizer in the 79th minute through Rodrygo, scoring a superb goal after manoeuvring through the defence of the Mattress Makers.

In extra time, Stefan Savic was red carded, in the 99th minute, for a challenge on Eduardo Camavinga, earning him his second yellow card in just two minutes.
Striker, Karim Benzema, placed Madrid ahead in the 104th minute and Vinicius Junior sealed victory for the hosts in the 121st minute.

On the other side of the Copa del Rey, Atletico Bilbao finished off Valencia 3-1.
In his post-match comments, Real Madrid manager , Carlo Ancelotti, said: “It was a very even match against a tough rival. Who played very well, better than us in the first half. In the second, we put in all the energy we had and it worked out well.”
