The Basra International Stadium is the venue of the final of the Arabian Gulf Cup between Iraq, who are the hosts of the tournament, and Oman.
Security and medical sources revealed several persons have sustained diverse degrees of injury as a result of the stampede at the sports facility.
Thousands of fans had gathered at the Sport facility without tickets with hopes of watching the final match between Iraq and Oman.
