The Basra International Stadium, in the Southern region of Iraq is the current largest Sports complex in the country.

The facility is owned by the Government of Iraq, and building it took a period of four years from 2009 to 2013. It was officially commissioned in 2013.
The contract of the project was handed to a major Iraqi construction outfit, Abdullah Al-Jaburi, alongside two American companies, 360 architecture and Newport Global.

- Has a secondary stadium with a capacity of 10,000
- Four five-star hotels
- Multilevel construction with 65,000 capacity, 20 suites and 230 VIP seats
- VIP Lounges, restaurants, spectator facilities, 205 VIP underground parking stalls
- A tunnel connecting the main and secondary stadia
- Steel roof structure, curtain wall of multidirectional curved elements which envelopes the stadium
