2023 Elections: Corps members ‘the most reliable, patriotic election duty staff’ in Nigeria – INEC Chairman Prof. Yakubu

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, has described members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) as “the most reliable, patriotic election duty staff” in Nigeria.

Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, INEC Chairman, made these comments on Friday 6 January, 2023, when he led a delegation to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Headquarters in Abuja on a courtesy visit.

The INEC Chairman and his delegation were well received by the NYSC Acting Director General, Mrs. Christy Uba alongside her management team.

During his courtesy visit, while speaking, Prof. Yakubu described Corps members as “the most reliable, patriotic, educated and the largest election duty staff” in Nigeria.

Prof. Mahmood Yakubu pledged that INEC would continue to place premium on their security and provide insurance cover for emergencies.
