Chelsea manager Emma Hayes, said, the club has learned from their “hardest moments” to ensure easy qualification into the last eight of the tournament.
Chelsea, runners-up of the 2020/21 edition of the Women’s Champions League, clinched a beautiful victory over their Albanian opponents to progress.
Hayes said: “I wouldn’t say relief is the right word. We had the opportunity to close [conversations on] last year. The questions in and around the group stage last year – we don’t have to answer any more.
“This team does so well to learn in its hardest moments. We understand what the group stage is in this competition and I think we’ve navigated them really well this season.”
Hayes’ side are unbeaten in the tournament and are Group A toppers with a game unplayed after their latest triumph over Vllaznia in Albania.
