Belgium has been tagged as one of the biggest disappointments of the FIFA World Cup 2022, exiting the tournament at the group stage, amassing only four points after three encounters, the European side’s only triumph came in the match against underdogs, Canada.
Eden Hazard released a statement to confirm his retirement from international football via his official Instagram account, he wrote: “A page turns today… Thank you for your Love. Thank you for your unparalleled support. Thank you for all this happiness shared since 2008. I have decided to put an end to my International career. The succession is ready. I will miss you.”
