Pele dies at 82: ‘Thank You King’ – Brazil glows in honour of late football legend, government declares three days of national mourning

Brazil football Legend, Pele, has died at the age of 82.

Pele died in the city of Sao Paulo on Thursday. He won three World Cups and was widely regarded as the greatest footballer of all time.

The South American country has gone a whole day without football icon, Pele.

All of a sudden, Pele’s face is glowing on buildings across Brazil as well as landmarks are radiating in his memory.

The government of Brazil has declared three days of national mourning.

When people heard the news of Pele’s demise, supporters converged outside the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo.

The hospital issued a statement confirming that Pele died from multiple organ failure connected to the cancer.

Since 2021, Pele has been suffering colon cancer.

Tributes have poured in from football clubs as well as football stars across the world.
