Official: Cristiano Ronaldo joins Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr until 2025

Former Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, has moved to Saudi Arabian football club, Al Nassr, in a deal that is valid until 2025.

Ronaldo has been a free agent since his contract was terminated at Manchester United following a controversial interview in which he said that the club owners, Glazers, don’t care about the club.

The Portugal captain will reportedly earn the highest salary in the history of football at above £177m per year.

37-year old Ronaldo says, he is “eager to experience a new football league in a different country.”

“I am fortunate that I have won everything I set out to win in European football and feel now that this is the right moment to share my experience in Asia.”

Al Nassr, formed in 1955 and based in Riyadh, is one of the most successful football clubs in Saudi Arabia.

The club has clinched the Saudi Professional League title a record nine times.

The football outift’s home games are played at the Mrsool Park.

The club said: “This is more than history in the making. This is a signing that will not only inspire our club to achieve even greater success but inspire our league, our nation and future generations, boys and girls to be the best version of themselves.
