Natalya Antyukh of Russia stripped of London 2012 gold medal

On the basis of historical data from a testing laboratory in Moscow, Natalya Antyukh of Russia has been stripped of London 2012 400m Hurdles gold.

41-year old Antyukh is already serving a four-year suspension after being named in a World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) investigation into cheating by Russia.

Lashinda Demus from the United States of America (USA) will be promoted to Gold in her place.

Based on doping reasons, all three gold medals clinched on the track by Russian athletes at London 2012 have now been declared void.
