The sky Blue and Whites discomfited the Checkered Ones by three goals to nothing in the encounter to reach the final of the tournament.
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward, Lionel Messi, featured for Argentina as he continues his mission to clinch the FIFA World Cup prize for the first time in his beautiful and trophy-laden career.
Messi playing so amazingly well even at 35, inspired the Sky Blue and Whites to their easy triumph over the European side by scoring from the penalty spot in the 34th minute.
Julian Alvarez netted a brace for the South Americans in the 39th and 69th minutes as Argentina cruise into the final of the FIFA World Cup 2022 to slug it out either France or Morocco, after their semi final match on Wednesday 14 December at the Al Bayt Stadium.
With Argentina in the final of the FIFA World Cup 2022, it is the perfect opportunity for Lionel Messi to add the tournament trophy to his already trophy-laden career.
This will be Messi’s second World Cup final – Argentina lost the first one to Germany in 2014 – in what looks like his last appearance at the tournament.
