The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward first won the Golden Ball eight years ago at the Brazil 2014, when Argentina got defeated in the final by Germany.

France forward Kylian Mbappe won the Silver Ball and Croatia midfielder Luka Modric, who won the previous Golden Ball at Russia 2018, won the Bronze Ball.
