Vincent Aboubakar, deep in the stoppage time, scored for the Indomitable Lions through a header. It was the only goal scored in the encounter but it was not enough to help Cameroon progress into the knockouts.

Switzerland, in the other match of Group G, emerged victorious against Serbia, winning 3-2 at the Stadium 974 in Qatar.
