English Premier League: Wolves 0-1 Manchester United – Rashford comes off bench to score only goal, Red Devils enter top four

Thanks to forward Marcus Rashford, Manchester United clinched a vital lone goal victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League match at the Molineux Stadium on Saturday 31 December.

Rashford came off the bench to score the only goal of the encounter for the Red Devils, to help the visitors enter the top four of the League table.

Dutch Manager, Erik Ten Hag, decided to leave out Rashford from the starting lineup due to “internal disciplinary” reasons.

Rashford found the back of the net for in the 76th minute after the forward’s replacement Alejandro Garnacho failed to successfully convert a beautiful chance for Manchester United when goalkeeper Jose Sa saved his shot.

In his post-match comments, Manchester United manager, Erik Ten Hag, said: “We made a good step today – first time we are in top four but it means nothing.

“We have to win every game. We want to try and win something. It depends on hard work from everyone.”
