Covid: China to end quarantine for foreign arrivals

The announcement has been made by China that its requirement for travellers into the country will be stopped on 8 January 2023.

This is the latest measure in a series of restrictions to be lifted as the Asian country dumps its zero-Covid policy.

China is experiencing an increment in infections related to coronavirus, and sadly, health workers have confessed they are finding it difficult to cope with the situation.

In his first comments following the changes, China President Xi Jinping pressed officials to do what was “feasible” to save lives.
