The eight-year marriage of Paul and Anita Okoye has been dissolved by an Abuja court sitting in Maitama.

Divorce had been filed by Anita with allegations of cheating, being an absent father, separation, fraud as well as difficult experiences against Okoye.
Anita went further to request for $20,000 monthly settlement alongside a number of properties owned by her husband, Paul Okoye.
Earlier, in her divorce petition signed by her lawyer, Ojonimi Akpe and Okutepa J.S at a High Court in Maitama, the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Anita claimed that she made a contribution of ₦10,000,000 as an agreement with Paul Okoye, her husband, for a space at the Mall he recently completed in Lekki, Phase 1, Lagos.
However, Anita claimed Paul cheated her out of a deal.
In part, the petition states: “That I know as a fact that the petitioner founded a company called TannkCo in 2019.
“That the petitioner and the respondent agreed to build a mall where TannkCo would have its main offices, and the petitioner contributed ₦10,000,000.00 (Ten Million Naira) for the purchase of the land and the building of the mall.
“Respondent, upon completion of the mall, reneged on the agreement and failed to give TannkCo a space in the mall.”
However, Anita made the decision to drop all the claims due to lack of cogent evidences to prove all the claims in her petition to the court.
In its judgement, the court granted both Paul and Anita joint custody of the children.
