Photos πŸ‘‡ On Thursday, President of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari and his Cameroonian counterpart Paul Biya, inaugurated a $44m bridge linking both countries.

The two lane bridge is located at the Nigeria-Cameroon border at Mfum community in Etung local government area of Cross River and Ekok community on the side of Cameroon.

“Yesterday, November 3, 2022, Presidents Buhari and Paul Biya of Cameroon jointly commissioned the newly constructed two-lane Bridge over the Cross River at the Nigeria-Cameroon border at Mfun/Ekok. Also commissioned at the ceremony, a newly contructed Joint Border Post (JBP).

The President, represented by the Minister of State, Foreign Affairs, Amb. Zubairu Dada, said, the 1.5km project would enhance the interconnectivity of “our people & communities, improve living standards, reduce barriers to inter-regional trade & strengthen border security.”
