Manchester United: Ronaldo to leave Old Trafford with ‘immediate effect’

Manchester United Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo, is to leave the Theatre of Dreams with “immediate effect”.

This decision by the English Premier League club is coming after the interview in which Ronaldo criticized United by saying, the “Glazers don’t care about the club”.

The former Juventus forward also criticized Dutch head coach Erik Ten Hag, saying he has “no respect” for the Red Devils manager.

Both Manchester United and Cristiano Ronaldo stated that, the player’s exit was by “mutual agreement”.

According to the statement released by Manchester United on its official website: “Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect.


“The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances, and wishes him and his family well for the future.


“Everyone at Manchester United remains focused on continuing the team’s progress under Erik ten Hag and working together to deliver success on the pitch.”
