In the 84th minute, Pique was substituted, and in a tearful manner, he hugged all his teammates, head coach Xavi and the entire Barcelona bench.
35-year old Pique will draw the curtain on his beautiful career after the away game against Osasuna, however, it is not certain he will feature in the encounter.
After the game against Almeria, Pique gave a speech on the pitch.
He said, “I was born here and I will die here.
“When you get older, you realise that sometimes to love is to let go. I’m convinced that I’ll be here again in the future.
“I love Barca. That’s why I consider it’s the right moment to go. This is not a goodbye.”
Of course, there were several tributes to the defender on his farewell night at the Nou Camp.

The legend and his two sons, Sasha and Milan, joined the Barcelona team to take a photo before the kick off of the encounter against Almeria at the Nou Camp.
