Photos 👇 Alvaro Morata came off the bench to put Spain in front earlier in the second 45 minutes, however, fellow substitute Niclas Fullkrug shot past Unai Simon to change the atmosphere as the Germans clinched their first point of the tournament following their stunning defeat in the hands of Asian side Japan in their opener match.
Head Coach of Germany, Hansi Flick, made some changes to the team from the game against the Japanese, and Germany went ahead to compete well all through the encounter against a well-organized Spain.
On the other side of the Group, Costa Rica discomfited Japan by a lone goal.
