Again, this is vivid in the number of Nigerian entertainers who featured alongside their fellow Africans and other entertainers from the West in the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever movie.

 

Based on the Marvel Comics character, Black Panther, the 2022 American Superhero film has very popular Nigerian artists, both from Nigeria and abroad, on it.

  1. Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu aka Burna Boy: The Grammy Award-winning ‘African Giant’ featured solo on the track ‘Alone’.
  2. Temilade Openiyi aka Tems: BET Award-winning and super fast rising singer and songwriter co-wrote Rihanna’s single ‘Lift Me’. The song was the first to be released in the movie promotional effort. Tems also performed Jamaican Reggae Legend Bob Marley’s ‘No Woman, No Cry’ as a solo act. The song was linked together with Kendrick Lemar’s ‘Alright’.
  3. Adedamola Adefolahan aka Fireboy DML: Signed to Olamide’s YBNL Record Label, the ‘Peru’ crooner featured solo on the track ‘Coming Back To You’.
  4. Chukwuka Ekweani aka CKay: Signed to Warner Music, South Africa and Atlantic Records, the ‘Love Nwantiti’ star collaborated with British singer Pink Pantheress for ‘Anya Miri’.
  5. Divine Ikubor aka Rema: Signed to Jonzing World, a subsidiary of Mavin Records, Rema, who featured American singer, Selena Gomez, on the remix of his hit song ‘Calm Down’, featured on two tracks; ‘Wake Up’ with Bloody Civilian, and ‘Pantera’ with Aleman.
  6. Tobe and Fat Nwigwe: American rapper of Nigerian descent, Tobe Nwigwe, worked together with his wife, Martica, also known as Fat, for ‘They Want It But No’.
