Present at the huge event which took place on Tuesday 15 November 2022 – President Muhammadu Buhari, wife of the presidential candidate, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Governor of Plateau State Simon Lalong, alongside other top APC Chieftains and Governors.
Via his official Twitter account (@OfficialABAT), Tinubu, wrote: “Flagging off my presidential campaign in the historic city of Jos.

“I reaffirm my commitment to the ideals of progressive, Democratic governance and to the fruits that only such governance can bring to this nation and its diverse people.

“With this flag off, we take a most important, symbolic step in the best and proper direction of progress and #renewedhope. Remember the road to a better Nigeria lies before us. Together let us walk it. Together let us renew hope. Our journey begins now.”

Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, wife of the APC presidential candidate Senator Oluremi Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the official flag off of the APC presidential campaign at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium in Jos, Plateau State. Rotimi Amaechi contested against Tinubu at the APC presidential primaries, however, lost after amassing only 316 votes, placing second while Tinubu amassed a total of 1271 votes to clinch the APC presidential candidate ticket
