Pep Guardiola’s side took the lead through striker Erling Braut Haaland after collecting a long ball from goalkeeper Ederson, the Norwegian went on to double Manchester City’s lead after successfully converting a penalty won by Bernardo Silva.
Winger Leandro Trossard pulled one back for the Seagulls via a powerful shot, with goalkeeper Ederson failing to correctly read the flight of the ball.
