The Portugal international helped the Red Devils clinch a 2-1 away win against their hosts with his 700th career club goal.
37-year old Ronaldo was fielded due to French forward Anthony Martial’s inability to run off an injury he sustained during warm-up, an opportunity Ronaldo grabbed to strengthen his club football career with the winner.

Nigerian pro forward Alex Iwobi placed the Toffees in front early in the 5th minute, however, the joy only lasted for ten minutes for Frank Lampard’s side as new addition from Ajax, Antony, struck off the lead with a beautiful curling shot and Cristiano Ronaldo sealed the triumph in the 44th minute to hand Erik Ten Hag’s side all much-needed three points of the clash.
Manchester United are now fifth on the Premier League table, just one point behind Chelsea, who are fourth with 16 points.
