Premier League: Chelsea 2-1 West Ham – Blues come from behind to grab all three points, Hammers late leveller ruled out

Chelsea came from the back to clinch a 2-1 victory against West Ham United at Stamford Bridge in the Premier league match between Chelsea and West Ham United on Saturday, November 3.

Substitute Kai Havertz netted a late winner as the hosts fought back to record a dramatic triumph over their visitors.

Hammers head coach David Moyes was left angry as a “scandalous decision” was made to cancel a 90th minute West Ham equaliser.

In the 62nd minute of play, Michail Antonio found the back of the net to put West Ham United in front following Blues goalkeeper Edouard Mendy’s inability to deal with a corner.

Defender Ben Chilwell levelled for Thomas Tuchel’s side in the 76th minute and German forward Kai Havertz scored a beautiful winner for Chelsea late, in the 88th minute, after converting an assist by Chilwell

West Ham thought they had equalised via Cornet’s strike in the 90th minute, however, it was disallowed.

In his post-match comments, West Ham United manager David Moyes, said: “It is a scandalous decision. I always thought he would say it is a goal once he went to the screen – I have seen it from all angles and find it incredibly difficult to see how that is chalked off.”
