Portuguese pro forward Cristiano Ronaldo has aggressively reacted to “lies” concerning stories about his future at English Premier League football outfit Manchester United.
Due to personal reasons, Ronaldo didn’t feature in Man United’s pre-season tour in Thailand and Australia as speculations circulated whether he would be exiting Old Trafford.
Manchester United has maintained that the 37-year old is not for sale and that he remains an essential part of me Dutch Manager Erik Ten Hag’s plans despite the fact that the Portugal international wants to feature in the 2022/23 Uefa Champions League.
The Red Devil’s were whitewashed by Brentford 4-0 in a Premier League encounter and Ronaldo fielded for the whole 90 minutes, an outcome that left the Erik Ten Hag’s side at the 20th (last) spot of the League table.
The sharpshooter replied to a fan account on social media who referred to a report linking the star with a move to Spanish La Liga club Atletico Madrid, Ronaldo said, in a couple of weeks, fans would “know the truth”.
Ronaldo further said: “The media is telling lies.”
“I have a notebook and in the last few months of the 100 news I made, only five were right. Imagine how it is. Stick with that tip.”
Following United’s terrible start to the 2022/23 Premier League season, the Glazer family have come under serious criticism.
