Governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola’s wife, Mrs. Kafayat Oyetola’s convoy was attacked by Gunmen on Friday night.

Some security personnel were injured during the attack which reportedly occurred at Owode, Ede area of Osun on Friday around 8pm.
Several gunshots were heard in the area as there was shootout between security operatives and the gunmen.
Oluwatunmise Iluyomade, Information Officer of the Office of the First Lady, revealed to The Punch that the convoy was attacked.
She revealed: “No life was lost in the incident. Some security personnel attached to the convoy sustained various degrees of injuries.”
As gathered, Mrs. Kafayat Oyetola was heading to Osogbo and was around Owode Market when several gunshots were heard within the area.
According to sources, a truck had caused an obstruction on the road when the convoy of the First Lady was within the area.
It was further revealed that a security personnel attached to the First Lady had gone to clear the way when a dispute was ignited, leading to a shootout.
